Body Creams for Winter Weather Reviews

As the weather gets colder it is especially important to keep skin hydrated. Today I am going to write about 3 body creams I have tried recently. My skin is not extremely dry so I usually pick more light weight formulas. If you suffer from very dry skin, I would recommend E45 Cream for Dry Skin and Eczema, it has excellent reviews and is fragrance free and effective. If your skin is less sensitive and you would rather a fragranced cream I would recommend Body Shop Body Butters.

So my most recent purchase was from Marks and Spencers. It is called the Floral Collection Magnolia Body Cream priced at £4.00.

This is a very wonderful cream with a sweet and delicate floral scent. The cream blends in perfectly without feeling heavy on skin. Despite its light weight formula, my skin feels moisturised and the beautiful magnolia scent is ideal for night time use as it’s very gentle and relaxing. The Floral Collection also includes Rose and Lavender scented body creams and since Marks and Spencer currently have a 3 for 2 offer, I am definitely going to add to my collection!

The next product  I’m going to review is one I wouldn’t purchase again. It is Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Lotion priced at £4.49.

The pro point is I love the scent of the cream, it is very warm and sweet. However, once I applied the lotion on to my skin it felt really heavy and sticky. Even after a couple of hours the feeling remained the same so I had to apply talcum powder on top. This lotion definitely was not right for me but I do love the body washes from the Dove Purely Pampering Range which is scented the same as the cream.

My final review is about Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion priced at £7.25.

This is a great lotion. My skin felt soft and smooth throughout the day after using it. It is really lightly scented which is probably from the Oatmeal it contains. For something so moisturising, it feels very light and absorbs into skin quickly. My skin looks and feels healthier after using this and I highly recommend it.

The Body Shop – Moringa Range

I love wearing perfume however, unfortunately I suffer from travel sickness and have found the scent of perfume overwhelming during car journeys and it makes my symptoms worse. I decided I wanted to find an alternative to regular perfumes and decide to try a Body Mist from The Body Shop. I love The Body Shop since they have an array of beautifully scented products that feel great even on my sensitive skin. I decided on the Moringa Body Mist.

It has a delicate and light floral fragrance which I felt would be ideal since I wanted to avoid strong scents during travel. The mist is priced at £7.50 and I was pleasantly surprised that the fragrance lasted quite long without needing to reapply too often. This mist is a perfect alternative to regular perfume if like me you suffer from travel sickness. I loved this spray so much I decided to buy the Moringa Body Milk aswell.

It’s the same light fragrance, but the texture is also light and absorbs really quickly into skin without feeling oily but still leaving skin feeling moisturised. If you have very dry skin however, I would personally recommend the Moringa Body Butter

This is equally a great product but the texture is thicker making it ideal for dry skin.

All three products are available in store at The Body Shop or from the website
On a side note, I’ve tried a lot of travel sickness medicine which have had no effect but I highly recommend one called Kwells which is available at the Pharmacy Counters at Boots and Supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsburys.
