My Top 5 Favourite Romantic Fragrances

With Valentine’s Day coming up I thought I would write a post on my favourite perfumes. I tend to stick with a perfume for long periods of time before changing to a new one, so not all the perfumes are new. The perfumes listed are just my long time favourites! I love softer floral scents so this list is ideal for those of you who prefer a subtle perfume rather than a perfume with a really strong intense scent.

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce

This perfume is really lovely. It has a very delicate and gentle scent that comes from Neroli leaves and papaya flower notes it contains. The scent is really fresh and perfect for the daytime as the fragrance is not overpowering but still noticeable. The packaging is really cute with its elegant bow and flower shaped lid. Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne

This wonderful perfume is one I have used for years. It has more of a fruity scent which comes from the Cranberry and Blackberry notes included. It also includes Damas Rose and Peony, so it does still have a mild floral scent. This perfume really lifts your mood as the fragrance is really vibrant and refreshing. The rose scent is really noticeable after wearing the perfume for a couple of hours. The packaging is a very feminine pink bottle with a gold lid and looks really beautiful so stands out at perfume counters. This an ideal everyday wear fragrance.

Diesel Fuel For Life She

This is another more fruity frangrance, however it does contain Jasmine so still includes a sweet floral scent. A top note in the perfume is Manderin so is another refreshing scent but has a little citrus twist on it and the pink pepper adds some spice to the scent. I like this scent for evenings because despite its fruity and floral scent, it is more intense and bold than the other two mentioned so is great for a night out. This perfume really lasts hours so is great value for money and as the scent gradually fades down, you’re left with a powdery soft scent which is really nice. The packaging is interesting as it has a net fabric cover with a gold lid.

Estee Lauder Pure White Linen

This perfume is really beautiful, it has a pure, fresh and invigorating scent. It reminds me of summer as it smells so floral and is so uplifting. This is an update on the original White Linen perfume. I find White Linen a bit strong and the scent to be soapy so be sure to look for Pure White Linen specifically. It’s another fragrance with Manderin as a top note so has a subtle citrus scent. This also has Raspberry for a fruity note and Dewy Greens, Freesia, Red Tulips and Gardenia for soft floral notes. The perfume bottle is not very interesting and does not particularly stand out. You would not guess from the packaging that it contains a wonderful, romantic floral perfume however I highly recommend this fragrance, it’s truly stunning.

Burberry Burberry London

This is a long time favourite of mine that I always go back to. Burberry London contains Rose for its romantic floral note but also includes the sweet scent of honeysuckle that softens the scent. Heart notes include Jasmine and Peony which adds a refreshing impact to the perfume and Clementines create an uplifting citrus twist. This scent is ideal for day or night as it is subtle but still noticeable. I love the sweetness underneath the lovely array of floral notes, as it gives the fragrance a feminine charm. The packaging is lovely and unique with its check fabric cover over the glass bottle, making it instantly recognizable as a Burberry product. I never tire of this perfume, it will be a fragrance I will always purchase and I highly recommend it.
